A Little About Me...

Hello!

I am Andrea Cervantes-Hines. Most of my passion with birth work has come to me naturally over the years as I have gone through my own pregnancies, deliveries, and postpartum experiences.
I have 5 children and have a plethora of experiences from these. I have had 3 planned hospital births, 1 homebirth
and 1 desired home birth that was transferred to OB/hospital care; I have had 3 inductions, 2 spontaneous labors, a breech baby, pushing to get baby out, trying not to push baby to no avail, gestational diabetes history and a
pre-eclampsia history.

In 2015, I had joined a fertility group and am pretty well versed in fertility planning and became an admin to another group of mothers with 2016 babies. They considered me the “group mother” because, at the time, I had 3 children while most in the group were pregnant with their first baby. I have loved helping those ladies through pregnancy and motherhood and it was the
catalyst to really helping me realize my passion for moms and babies outside of my own personal experiences. I currently have children aged 2-15 years old and have lots of tips and tricks to parenting.

I am currently studying and doing an apprenticeship to get my CPM (certified professional midwife) credential. Alongside my midwifery training, I have become a certified doula through Your Cherished Birth, LLC. I have also breastfed my own babies and helped other moms with breastfeeding support and newborn care. As a midwifery student, I have also had the privilege to assist some of our clients with postpartum doula support as well. I am excited to help moms find their power, and to be a part of their journeys. My goal is to provide support to women in all ways pregnancy and motherhood. I know that giving birth is one of the memories that women seem to hold so dear and never forget, and I want those memories to be fond and beautiful ones and for the moms to feel like they have been heard and supported on one of the best days
of their lives… their BIRTH days.

I hope to grow more and always learn new things and help more and more mamas advocate for their birth wants and needs as I complete my professional portfolio for certification. In the future, I hope to just be one more great homebirth midwife, like so many that I have personally been impacted by and now can call mentors and friends. If I have the pleasure to work with you
during your pregnancy journey, I would be honored and I promise to always hold your birth space sacred and I will always believe that God’s design for birth is a perfect one. Go after that dream birth mamas!

At the start of this website development as a placeholder this page used to say “I

Also, the person who helped build this site knows I enjoy humor and am always quick with one liners for a laugh. So, when we meet, you can be prepared for that. 😉

Educated & Holistic

March 3, 2026

Imagine having someone by your side who is educated and knows the up to date birth information, science, policies, and procedures. Now imagine that same person valuing holistic health care & the importance of listening to your body, your heart, your mind, your life stresses, your joys & struggles. If you are looking for a competent & warm birth support/midwife (student during this time of me working alongside her myself) you will want to consider setting up a consultation and see how you and Andrea (and your family!) resonate. I can guarantee you, she will give you confidence in yourself and make it easy for you to decide what is best for you. All while keeping the main focus for a healthy safe mom & healthy safe baby. Oh, did I mention her character? If something seems off or not right, she will be honest and speak up. She will redo mundane work to make things accurate and right. These are important things to consider on the backend of administrative medical care. It’s important for their to be competence and integrity. You will find that with Andrea. And I certainly anticipate doing lots more work with her in the future. Thank you Andrea for setting a standard of excellence and kindness in our community!! Thank you for serving the women here so beautifully.

Andrea is an excellent professional

August 27, 2024

Andrea has a very calm and gentle personality which fit very well with the personalities of myself and my family. She was able to recommend good resources during pregnancy to help me prepare for labor.

I would highly recommend Andrea. We had a great experience with her before/during/after the birth. She empowered my husband to be a great birthing partner. She observed the process and knew when to offer advice that we greatly benefited from. We ended up having the baby in the hospital even though it was a planned home birth, she advocated EMPHATICALLY for us. I am so glad and my husband spoke highly of her experience and advocacy when i was out of it and tired. After we came back home, she came to check on us, making sure we were doing well with our new baby.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience with Andrea and if you are looking for a doula, I would definitely recommend her.

Such a blessing

June 16, 2024

Andrea was very great to work with. Every meeting she was warm and welcoming and always made me feel very comfortable. She was especially so helpful to me after an unplanned c section. She stayed the night with me in the hospital and helped me to get around and wash pump parts and provide emotional support during a challenging time for me. It was such a blessing to have her there that night with me and I believe God put her in my life for that reason. I highly recommend Andrea for her services.

Andrea was a pleasure to work with. I felt super comfortable talking with her, and very much appreciated all her help as a doula while I recovered during my postpartum period. She was willing to help wherever needed- with my other children or household tasks, which was such a blessing during a very emotional and delicate time in my life. I very much recommend her services.
